HBO Max

🚨 Re-Rebrand alert! 🚨Remember when streaming giant HBO forgot it was H-B-O? It took years of hard work, trust, marketing, and a loyal audience to build such an iconic, reputable brand.

And then, it all vanished—the name did, not the service. They rebranded to “Max,” which is potentially one of the most common dog names in the world.

Max had never won awards or critical praise; it just... showed up. And just like that, HBO’s legacy was gone. Ageism is real, even for established brands.

Fast forward two years, and it looks like the company’s had its morning vitamins because they’ve decided to rebrand Max to HBO Max. So what was once just three letters, globally recognized and trusted, is now two words. More work for their designers, but hey, we’ll take it.

It could’ve been worse—like Peacock, a name many international customers can’t even spell.

Hey, Max, Elon, Zuck—take a hint from Bezos, who turned a bookstore into the most successful multinational e-commerce, cloud computing and digital streaming service in the world. He used a recognized brand name (the hardest part to achieve) and transformed it.

Twitter will always be Twitter. Bring the bird back Elon! X is just that…x.
